How Sick Happens, happened

Oh hey, I’m Penny. Your Paediatric Nurse next door, boy mum and lover of all things 90s

With a Bachelor of Nursing, a Masters of Nursing and almost 15 years experience, boy do I have the goods to share about navigating sick kids. Time and time again I have come across parents just like you that feel overwhelmed and worried because you aren’t sure what to do when your child is sick, let alone know if it’s normal or not

And this right here is why I founded Sick Happens (whoop there it is)

I wanted to find a way to give you my nurse brain so that you know WHAT to do, HOW to do it and WHY to do it when your child inevitably gets sick

Because it’s never a question of *if* they get sick, it’s *when*

Want to know what makes me different?

I DELIBERATely avoid teaching first aid

I can already hear the gasps and the “surely that’s essential, right?” And, yeah, it is, but first aid courses are well and truly established. Also, the accidents and emergencies are “easy” to navigate because the steps you need to take are black and white. But it’s the inevitable, relentless sicknesses that are superrrrr grey and confusing.

THIS is why I founded Sick Happens, and especially my Normal or Not online course: to teach you what to do in the grey space. I focus on the inevitable parts, not just the scary what-if’s. Because *that* is the shiz that is going to happen, and you can bet it will happen in the middle of the night when Google is about as useful as Ross & Rachel’s “break.”

Now, I know it’s a tough choice between learning new skills or streaming reality TV, so I’ve made sure all of my products and services are delivered in a way that is 100% achievable whilst nap-trapped or functioning on about 47 minutes of sleep. Yep, I’ve made it that simple! Click here to start checking out some of the ways you can start

take my hand as you stop feeling scared, and start feeling prepared
